Kayaking

A few weekends ago we went kayaking at Tuckahoe State Park.  It was such a beautiful place, and we all enjoyed it.  We spent about 2 hours paddling (Quinn fell asleep for about an hour of that).   We saw plenty of turtles and a beautiful heron.  Of course the pictures won't do it justice, but here you go:

Annual trip to the UP

Every year, we go to this great place in Michigan with our dear friends.  We always look forward to it, and enjoy it so much.  We rent a van and pile in 4 adults, 3 kids, and all our gear.  We drive all night (so the kids can sleep), and stay one week at a "resort" (more like a campground) right on the water.  Here is a picture story of our trip:

One day, we all piled into our 15 passenger van and went to Canada.  The Bushplane Museum was a highlight for me, especially since I didn't think I was going to like it.  Quinn had a blast!

Quinn is really enjoying vacation, and so are we!

Fun in the sun

We finally got back to the park today, after it rained for an eternity and then we had a heat wave.  Quinn can now go down the slide all by himself, without me having to stop him at the bottom.  Here's a video of my big boy:

Over the weekend, we tried out his new baby pool.  He was a little hesitant at first, and the inflatable slide stinks, but at least he can have fun trying to climb up it, even if it doesn't really work for him to slide down.  The video is a little boring in the beginning, sorry about that.  At the end you see him patting his stomach.  That's his way of asking for help.  He wanted me to help him climb up the slide.
